Laboratory safety and protection knowledge and common sense

1. Before entering the laboratory, you should know the location of the main gas valve, water valve and switch. When leaving the laboratory, be sure to check the room again, should turn off the switch of water, electricity and gas, and lock the doors and Windows.
2. When using a gas lamp, first light a match, hold it close to the lamp with one hand and open the gas door slowly with the other. Don't open the gas door and then light the match. The flame size and firepower should be adjusted according to the needs of the experiment. When using fire, should do the fire in people, people accidentally fire out.
3. Avoid electric shock when using electrical equipment (such as oven, constant temperature water bath, centrifuge, electric furnace, etc.); Never switch on or off electrical appliances with wet hands or eyes. Test pen should be used to check whether electrical equipment leakage, any leakage equipment, must not be used.
4. Use strong acid, strong alkali, must be extremely careful operation, prevent spatter. When using pipettes to measure these reagents, rubber balls must be used. Never suck them up orally. If accidentally splashed on the experimental table or the ground, must be promptly cleaned with a wet cloth. If skin contact should be treated immediately.
5. Use combustible materials, especially combustible materials (such as ether, acetone, ethanol, benzene, metal sodium, etc.), should be especially careful. Do not place them in large quantities on the table, and certainly not near a flame. Dump flammable liquids in large quantities only away from the source of fire or after the flame has been extinguished. Organic solvents with low boiling points are not allowed to be heated directly over the fire, only heated or distilled in a water bath using a reflux condensing tube.

6. If a considerable amount of flammable liquid is accidentally poured out, it should be treated as follows :(1) immediately turn off all indoor fire sources and electric heaters. (2) Close the door and open the small window and window. (3) Wipe the spilled liquid with a towel or cloth, and twist the liquid into a large container, and then pour into a glass bottle with a cork

7. When operating the oil bath, heat it carefully and measure it constantly with a thermometer. Do not make the temperature exceed the burning temperature of the oil.
8. Flammable and explosive residue (such as metal sodium, white phosphorus, match tips) should not be dumped into a sewage tank or sink, but should be collected in a designated container.
9. Waste liquid, especially strong acid and alkali can not be directly poured into the sink, should be diluted first, and then poured into the sink, and then use a lot of tap water to wash the sink and sewer.
10. Poisons should be obtained after going through the approval procedures in accordance with the provisions of the laboratory. They should be strictly operated during use and properly disposed after use.
