Water-cooled package unit installation reference manual

The water-cooled cabinet is a central air-conditioning unit that uses cooling water as the cold source and uses refrigerant to produce cold capacity. The structure integrates the compressor, evaporator, condenser, and throttle components to directly output cold air to the outside. The water-cooled cabinet uses water as the coolant of the condenser, and the shell and tube heat exchanger effectively improves the heat exchange efficiency between water and refrigerant, and the energy efficiency ratio is greatly improved, highlighting its cooling effect. The water-cooled cabinet system has simple structure, flexible layout, saving installation space, convenient maintenance and management, and high efficiency and energy saving. Water-cooled cabinets are usually suitable for factories, supermarkets, restaurants, chain stores, entertainment and other places where the summer is hot and the space demand is large.

Choice of installation site:

1) The unit can be installed on the ground or on a suitable roof, but sufficient ventilation must be ensured.

2) Avoid assembling the machine in a place with certain requirements for noise and vibration.

3) The installation location of the unit should try to avoid direct sunlight, and keep it away from the boiler flue or other air environment that corrodes the condensing coil and the copper pipe parts of the unit.

4) If the unit is located in a place accessible by unauthorized personnel, isolation safety measures should be taken, such as setting up protective fences. This can prevent man-made damage and accidental damage, and prevent the control box from being opened and exposing the operating electrical components.

5) The installation base height of the unit should not be less than 100mm, and the installation site is required to have a drainage floor drain to ensure smooth drainage and no accumulation of water.

6) When installing on the ground, the steel base of the unit should be placed on a flat concrete foundation, and the concrete footing should extend below the frozen soil layer. Be careful not to connect the unit foundation to the building foundation, so as not to transmit noise and vibration to affect others. Mounting holes are provided on the base of the unit, which can be used to fasten the connection between the unit and the foundation.

7) When the unit is installed on the roof, the roof must have sufficient strength to support the weight of the unit and maintenance personnel. The unit can be supported on a concrete foundation or channel steel frame similar to ground installation. The load-bearing channel steel and the shock absorber installation hole of the unit must be on the same centerline and have sufficient width to facilitate the installation of the shock absorber.

8) For occasions with special installation requirements, please consult the construction contractor or architect or other professionals.

Note: When determining the installation location of the unit, attention should be paid to facilitate the installation and connection of water pipes and wiring, and not be affected by oil smoke, steam or other heat sources, and the noise of the unit and hot and cold air do not affect the surrounding environment.

Requirements for unit arrangement spacing:

Requirements for unit arrangement spacing:

1) In order to ensure that there is enough airflow into the condenser, the impact of the sinking airflow caused by the tall buildings around the unit on the unit row should also be considered during installation.

2) If the unit is installed in a place with violent air flow, such as exposed to the roof, measures such as low walls or blinds can be considered to prevent turbulence from interfering with the air intake of the unit. If the unit needs to be equipped with low walls, the height shall not exceed the unit; if shutters are used, the total static pressure loss should be less than the external static pressure of the fan. The distance between the unit and the low wall or shutters is also required to meet the minimum distance requirements for installation of the unit.

3) If the unit needs to operate in winter. When the installation site may be covered with snow, the unit must be higher than the snow surface to ensure smooth air flow through the coil.
