Development of HEPA filter in China bio-safety laboratory II

After nearly 10 years of development, China has developed and industrialized a series of HEPA filtration devices, including box type scanning leak detection HEPA filtration device, tuyere type scanning leak detection HEPA filtration device and vertical efficiency leak detection HEPA filtration device, based on the reference of foreign related technologies and the original innovation of key technologies The filtration device and HEPA filtration device with vent type efficiency leak detection have been successfully applied in many high-level biosafety laboratories nationwide, which meet the construction requirements of new and reconstructed laboratories in China and basically realize independent guarantee. At the same time, the domestic HEPA filter device has been successfully applied to the construction of China aided Sierra Leone fixed biosafety level III laboratory and Kazakhstan "China Kazakhstan Joint Agricultural Science Laboratory (biosafety level III)", taking a solid step towards internationalization of domestic biosafety protection equipment.

Suggestions: 1) GB 1948 9-2008 requires that the exhaust air of the biosafety level 4 laboratory shall be treated by two-level HEPA filters before being discharged, while GB 1948 9-2008 requires that the exhaust air of the biosafety level 4 laboratory shall be treated by two-level HEPA filters before being discharged 50346-2011 requires that the exhaust air of all rooms in the protection area of the biosafety level 4 laboratory should be treated by two-level HEPA filters. It is suggested that when the two standards are revised, the scope of the area where the exhaust air of the biosafety level 4 laboratory needs to be treated by two-level HEPA filters should be unified and further defined. 2) In the process of in-situ disinfection of HEPA filter, the disinfectant needs to penetrate the first or even the second level HEPA filter, so it is difficult to ensure that each disinfection can meet the sterilization requirements. In order to reduce the safety risk, it is necessary to clearly require that the disinfection effect of HEPA filter in-situ disinfection should be verified.
