Complete HVAC Case Studies for Food Factories, Plastic Plants and Data Centers

HEAD-POWER provides complete central air-conditioning solutions for industrial and commercial applications. Different industries have different cooling requirements. A food factory may require temperature control, filtration and positive pressure. A plastic plant usually needs continuous process cooling for injection-molding equipment. A data center requires stable operation around the clock, with high reliability and accurate temperature control.

The following representative projects show how HEAD-POWER designs HVAC systems according to the actual requirements of each application.

Case Study 1: Central Air-Conditioning System for a Food Factory
Project Requirements

A food-processing factory required a stable indoor environment for production, filling and packaging operations. The production area contained processing equipment, workers and packaging lines, all of which generated heat. Some processes also released moisture and warm air.

The main requirements included:

Stable indoor temperature;
Clean and filtered supply air;
Positive indoor pressure;
Prevention of dust entering the production area;
Reliable operation during long production hours;
Easy maintenance and hygienic construction.

For food factories, ordinary comfort air conditioners are usually not sufficient. The system must consider air cleanliness, fresh-air requirements, heat generated by production equipment and the need to reduce contamination risks.

HEAD-POWER Solution

HEAD-POWER proposed a DX clean-air-conditioning system consisting of air-handling units, outdoor condensing units, filtration sections, fresh-air arrangements and fabric air distribution ducts.

The air-handling units were equipped with multi-stage filters, such as G4 pre-filters and F7 fine filters. The filtration system helps remove larger particles and fine dust before the air enters the production area.

The supply-air system was designed to provide even air distribution throughout the production hall. Fabric air ducts were selected for areas where uniform airflow and low air velocity were important. This helped avoid strong drafts over workers and production lines.

The system was also designed to maintain slightly positive indoor pressure. By controlling the balance between supply air, return air and exhaust air, the system reduces the possibility of unfiltered air entering through doors or gaps in the building envelope.

Project Result

The completed HVAC system provided stable cooling and improved air distribution throughout the production area. The factory benefited from:

More uniform indoor temperature;
Improved air cleanliness;
Better working conditions for employees;
Reduced dust entering the production hall;
More stable operation of food-processing equipment;
Easier maintenance and filter replacement.

For food-processing applications, HEAD-POWER can also provide customized solutions using stainless-steel internal parts, corrosion-resistant panels, higher-grade filters, humidity control and special hygienic requirements.
