The layout of common functional sections of AHU used in biopharmaceutical industry is similar to that in electronic industry. The special features are:

Some air-conditioned rooms require low relative humidity. Dehumidification devices are usually equipped in AHU. The more commonly used dehumidification includes freezing dehumidification and runner dehumidification. The general functional sections are arranged as follows: fresh air inlet section + initial effect filter section + (front) surface cooling section + middle section + runner dehumidifier + return air section + (rear) surface cooling section + heating section + fan section + medium effect filter section + air supply section. The front surface cooling deals with the fresh air. After passing through the runner dehumidifier, the air temperature rises, and the rear surface cooling is responsible for dealing with this temperature rise and the load in the room. It has strict requirements on the content of bacteria in the air, and is usually equipped with ozone sterilization device. Because ozone has strong oxidizability and is easily soluble in water, the ozone generator is generally installed in the air supply section to prevent ozone from corroding coils and other components.
